Tubbataha Reefs Natural Park (Palawan): The Remote Pelagic Realm
Situated in the middle of the Sulu Sea, Tubbataha is a UNESCO World Heritage site accessible exclusively by liveaboard during its short season from March through June. It is known as one of the least disturbed reefs in the world and is a haven for vast schools of fish and large pelagic visitors such as whale sharks, oceanic mantas, tiger sharks, and much more. Vertical walls drop into deep waters, offering encounters with large pelagic predators and vast coral biomass.

Located south of Manila on the island of Luzon, Anilao is world-famous for its nudibranch diversity and is a pioneer in nighttime blackwater experiences where unique pelagic larval creatures rise from the deep. It is easily reached from the capital city and is a year-round destination, though the calmest sea conditions and warmest waters typically run from March to May.
