A day with the chef - learn to cook like a filipino

During a Day with the Chefs, guests and chefs come together to create some of our favorite dishes. Similar to a cooking class, our chefs are excited to share a few of their delicious Filipino recipes. From appetizer to dessert, guests and chefs cook together, and the evening culminates in a three course dinner.

These activities take between 1 to 3 hours, and if Filipino cuisine isn’t on your mind, our chefs are happy to adapt their cooking classes or presentations to suit your palate. We can also focus on bread baking or desserts, or adapt the experience to suit children. These activities come complete with recipes to take home.

...and then the sweet desserts

Mango float – When using the best, and most delicious local ingredients you must include mangoes, famous for their sweetness in the Philippines. An easy recipe, also called crema de mangga, a mango float is made from several layers of crackers, whipped cream, condensed milk, and ripe carabao mangoes. It’s especially delicious when it comes directly from the chiller and is enjoyed on a hot day!

Leche flan – Leche flan is a dessert made of eggs and milk with a soft caramel on top. It resembles crème caramel and caramel custard.
