Christmas and New Year is by far our biggest celebration. The holiday falls during peak season, which means that the resort is usually fully booked with guests from all over the world. We love that our guests want to celebrate Christmas and New Year with us, as well as dive, dine well, enjoy yoga, spa and fitness and join excursions, often with family in tow.
We have a number of events and activities planned for the holiday season every year.
When you hear that Atmosphere has the spookiest Halloween festivities all week long, you want to make sure to book early! At Atmosphere, we celebrate Halloween for almost a week, with spooky events daily. We love dressing up, so you’ll find our staff in costume the whole week, dress up competitions for big and small – as well as the yearly staff departmental costume competition. On Halloween; food, drinks and snacks will be themed so don’t be surprised if your cookies look like skulls or your bread roll is bloody… There will be flash mobs, Kids spooky arts & crafts and other competitions throughout the week, culminating on Halloween. Who’s joining the spooktacular fun?
Staying with Atmosphere during Easter (Holy Week) is popular and we like to do something for the children to celebrate Easter during their stay. You can look forward to a resort-wide Easter egg hunt for the whole family, with prizes for big and small. We also add an Easter-themed arts & crafts activity for kids and in the evening we will be joined by an acoustic band playing by the beach bar.
Xīn nián kuài lè! With many guests from all across Asia, the Lunar New Year, taking place in January or February, is always something we eagerly look forward to. We celebrate the arrival of the new lunar year by a special Chinese-inspired buffet dinner and – of course – dancing dragons, the traditional Dragon Dance. We also decorate the resort with displays of red – such as lanterns and envelopes, to bring luck to the new year.
Celebrating Valentine’s on February 14 is a big event in the Philippines and no Valentine’s is complete without romantic private dining. And there is no better place than Atmosphere!
For this special evening, our chefs offer a special romantic set menu to guests who are in the mood for romance, which also includes a glass of house wine and a red rose. For guests who chose to avail of the Valentine’s menu, we offer private dining where your table will be set up on or by the beach or pool area. There is always a couple of specials at The Sanctuary Spa – and we warmly recommend a couple’s massage side by side as a treat this day.
Our flagship boat – Victoria – will embark on a cruise along the coast adjacent to Atmosphere before sunset, where we serve a glass of rosé wine and canapés. You could take this opportunity to see the beautiful island of Negros from a different perspective and share a little romance. If you would like any additional drinks or your own bottle of something special, this can be pre-ordered.
We love hosting weddings, wedding receptions, renewals of vows or other celebrations such as anniversaries or birthdays at Atmosphere Resorts & Spa. As one of the largest and most luxurious resorts and event venues in Negros Oriental, we know that you will have a lovely time. Whether a small intimate dinner for your closest family or a grand event for 100 guests, we are happy to accommodate.
We cater to two types of events at Atmosphere. Either small exclusive celebrations with maximum of 30 guests, where we require a minimum of 6 rooms to be booked overnight. We also cater to large events for up to 150 guests, where we require a complete resort take-over of all rooms and only during our lower season between May and September.
We have three roofed lunch and dinner venues at Atmosphere: Ocean restaurant, Breeze restaurant and the Treehouse. Ocean can hold up to 50 guests and Breeze can hold up to 100 guests, whereas the Treehouse only accommodates up to 10 guests. If you are looking at performing a ceremony at Atmosphere, we can also offer a beach location or a garden location.
