Healthy Living - New Menu at Atmosphere

When boutique resort Atmosphere Resorts & Spa in Dauin, near Dumaguete built a spa and begun yoga classes many years ago, it was with a larger wellness concept in mind. The Sanctuary Spa has expanded and so did the yoga with this year’s week-long yoga retreat programs and the introduction this summer of Atmosphere’s detox, nutrition and wellness packages.

With this comes the need for a menu that caters to this growth and we are very proud to announce our Healthy Living Menu at the end of the month.

The menu takes a simple approach; clean healthy living. We appreciate that everyone approaches healthy eating in different ways. At atmosphere our “healthy living” menu focuses on the use of lean meats, healthy proteins, whole grains, good fats, fresh & locally grown fruits, vegetables and herbs, low salt and limited sugar. On the menu you can expect to see a sample of raw foods, gluten free and vegan meals along with plenty of low fat and high protein options.

Yoga is one of the core activities that Atmosphere offers. Our in house Yoga teacher, life coach and nutrition advisor Rae Collins advocates that a healthy mind and body are key to stress management and a balanced approach to living. She has been the driving force behind the concept of the ‘Healthy Living’ menu. Together with Atmosphere’s Executive Chef Denver Wickenhäuser, they designed the menu, appreciating that our resort guests all come with a variety of dietary requests or needs and very often a wish to engage in healthy eating.

Sourcing locally made and grown produce was important when creating the menu. Our herbs and vegetables are grown in the area and arrive at the resort fresh and un-packaged, minimizing the use of plastic and styrofoam. Our tofu and goat cheese are produced here in Dauin and our fish is fresh from local fishermen. We hope that our guests are as excited by the ‘Healthy Living’ menu as we are.

We hope you’ll like it!
